How the Internet works


TCP/IP

There are two potocols that you use, TCP and IP. TCP is Transmission Control Protocol and IP means Internet Protocol. They take information and relay it to your computer to the Internet and back.

 

The Internet Society

The Internet Society (ISOC) is a non-profiet organization that basically the main central who areresponsible for the standards for Internet infastructure.

Explaining cmd and where to use it.

In cmd we can ping websites like google.com, which means that it tells you what server TCP/IP it's using. Go to run and type cmd to find out.

LAN and W3C

LAN means Local Area Network, which is where the cable to the network connects to. W3C is known as the World Wide Web Consortium, which is the source of information for Web Users and Wedsite Creators.
